Bethany Manning, the owner of Sonshine Therapy, has been a speech-language pathologist in Savannah since 2005. She is a Savannah native with four children, two biological and two adopted. One of Bethany’s daughters was born with a cleft lip and palate, while her other daughter was born legally blind, deaf and autistic with associated feeding difficulties. Her daughter who was born with a hearing impairment, later received cochlear implants. These personal challenges have given Bethany an understanding of the difficulties parents face with raising children who have special needs. These challenges have allowed her to shape Sonshine Therapy as a clinic that supports development in the clinic, and at home, to help push every family to the next steps.
